The Coffee Cave is a lovely shop that recently opened up on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, nestled in the heart of Uvongo, where you can indulge in great treats and enjoy an amazing cup of coffee! Various coffees, frappes, milkshakes and crushers will leave you scratching your head trying to decide which sounds better, a refreshing Belgian Chocolate Frappe or a Hot Cappuccino.
The coffee beans they use is a popular brand called Terbodore, it has a lot of interesting flavours and blends that are unique to the brand. Terbodore makes delicious cookies as well which the Coffee Cave stocks. My personal favourite drink from the Coffee Cave is their caramel milkshake, it’s rich, creamy and quenches my thirst every time! The caramel syrup they use in the milkshake has the most delectable flavour that goes very well with the Terbodore Double Chocolate cookie.
The Coffee Cave has an amazing choice range of toasties, cookies and other yummy things as well. One of the best toasties I’ve had was their ham, cheese and tomato toastie, fresh and flavourful. The toasties are made with all local ingredients, the bread they use they buy at The Royal Bakery and all their meat, such as the ham and biltong used in their toasted sandwiches, is sourced from Greenlands Meats. As mentioned earlier, the Coffee Cave stocks Terbodore’s cookie range however they also have a range of goodies that is supplied by local Traders, brownies, rusks and gummy sweets are only some of the treats they have to offer. Whatever you fancy, they will be able to cater to your wants and needs.
The service is another great feature of the Coffee Cave, the owners are very friendly, you always receive your meal or drink with a bright smile. The owner’s good nature is terribly contagious, so contagious that I found it very difficult to not leave the Coffee Cave with a smile. The atmosphere is always welcoming and warm, they never make you feel unwanted. The Coffee Cave offers free Wi-Fi to their customers which just adds to the experience, the free Wi-Fi makes it the perfect spot to relax and get some work done.
There’s nothing better than doing some work with a good cup of coffee by your side and a muffin in your hand. The Coffee Cave’s Wi-Fi comes in handy for those who would like to get out of the house and not miss out on any assignments that need to be done. Because of the Coffee Cave’s location on 2 Nicholson Avenue it keeps the cafe easy to find but out of the hustle and bustle of the town which is the best environment for someone who seeks some peace and quiet. Their trading hours makes it the perfect place to go for a hearty breakfast, teatime treat or a lunchtime meal. Whatever the occasion is, the Coffee cave is the place to go! I highly recommend it 10/10!
